Interpretation console
The perfect addition to the base unit IT-12M.
It is possible to cascade up to 11 interpretation consoles via a 25-pole D-sub cable. Each console is supplied with a 3 m cable as standard equipment. The IT-12D supports two channels. Only one of which is active at a time, the other serves as a standby channel which can be selected if required. The desired interpretation channels can be stored permanently at the console. The last active channel will be stored after switching off the operating voltage and will be available again immediately after switching on the unit. The active channel allows for two simultaneous interpreters/commentators to use the IT-12D at the same time.
Multimedia headsets from our product range can conveniently be connected via the jacks which are situated at the side of the unit. The volume of the headphones can individually be adjusted for each interpreter. If required, the microphones can either be switched off completely or muted for a short-term period (cough button). Further microphones can be connected via two additional balanced XLR jacks. The selected language channel simultaneously receives all the microphones if they have been selected as active. Relay translations for which the interpreter requires a different language to the floor language are possible via an 11-step language selection switch. Low-noise push-buttons allow for a fast transition between relay language and floor language. Each button provides a visual indication of its current status.
A protocol of the interpretation is often required and possible via two record outputs. The interpreter is able to influence the conversation speed by pressing a button to activate a slow-down signal at the base unit. The power of the IT-12D is conveniently supplied via the base unit, thus a well-structured setup without cable clutter is possible.
The interpretation console features a robust and stable metal housing which is also suitable for severe conditions in the rental sector.
