Interpretation system, base unit (control and voice routing).
With the IT-12M, setting up a multi-language interpretation system is going to be child's play!
The unit supports 12 languages (floor language/main language and 11 translations via interpretation console IT-12D), each transmitted via RCA outputs. The floor language (CH0) which is supplied by the PA system or conference system (e.g. CS-1) can be fed in via a balanced 6.3 mm jack input. The volume of the floor language can continuously be adjusted. Each output which doesn't have a translation assigned to, automatically provides the main language. The simultaneous interpreters can contact the main speaker via a slow-down signal to inform him or her if the conversation speed is too high.
In case of an alarm, an audio message or an audio alarm signal can be fed to each output. The status LEDs of the interpretation channels provide an additional visual indication. An unbalanced dynamic microphone can be connected to the 6.3 mm jack of the comb. jack at the front of the IT-12M. A +48 V phantom power supply is available at the XLR input of the combo jack for the operation of a condenser microphone. The microphone signal will be mixed with the signal of CH0 and then be routed to the respective outputs (comment function).
For documentation purposes, an optional recorder can be used for live recordings of the floor language which can be mixed with an external line signal at the same time. 12 DC outputs are implemented for the direct voltage supply of the optional wireless transmitters TG-10STX/1.
With the supplied mounting brackets, the robust desktop metal housing can be converted into a 482 mm (19") cabinet.
